Produced exclusively in Italy using yarns that comply with the highest quality environmental standards, the KNIIT Milano range of knitwear aims to offer a contemporary wardrobe that is made to last, carefully selecting raw materials and favouring handcrafting to focus on awareness, slow fashion and “buying less to buy better”.

The fashion industry has an enormous impact on the environment and brands face new challenges as they are called on to implement new business models that will increase the life cycle of their products and promote sustainable practices along the production chain through the use of new technology and partnerships with trusted suppliers.

As it moves towards a circular economy that reduces offcuts, waste and the consumption of resources by giving a second life to worn raw materials, KNIIT proudly presents the ECO-CASHMERE Capsule Collection.

From the Fall Winter 21.22 season the company will replace its virgin cashmere with regenerated yarn that is entirely produced in Italy using a transparent, integrated and traceable system.

This top quality and high performance raw material, obtained through the processing of pre and post consumer waste material, bears the official Global Recycled Standard certification from the Textile Exchange, the non-profit organisation that promotes sustainability in the textile processing chain.

In addition to the eco-cashmere, other sustainable yarns will soon be introduced. The company’s continued focus on research underpins a conscious decision to move towards a green future by setting a positive mechanism in motion, one that will respect both the planet and the consumer while protecting Made in Italy manufacture and putting quality first.
